We went to Loxahatchee Preserve last night & saw this big gator -possibly the same one I got the ominous "up close & personal" pic of last week -swimming leisurely in the waterway.

He swam slowly up to the dock and then just hung out there for a bit, tolerating me while I shot some pictures... then he swam under the dock & out of sight.

When you see a gator in the water, you usually just see the eyes and the nose... a fraction of his total size. From this angle, you can get an idea of just how huge he really was.
